It is fair to say that things couldn’t have gone any better for Tottenham on Tuesday evening against Red Star Belgrade. The home side looked threatening right from kick-off and pressed with great intensity.
Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min both netted a brace while Erik Lamela bagged the other goal of the game on his 200th appearance for the club.
There were impressive performances from back to front and the players clearly made a statement that they are still able to play to their old potential.
The win takes Tottenham to second place in the group and a win in the return fixture in a couple of week’s time should all but guarantee progression to the knockout stages for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Several Spurs stars took to social media soon after the game to express their delight at the performance and thank the fans for their support.
Here’s how Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Moussa Sissoko, and other Spurs stars reacted to the 5-0 result.

Spurs Web Opinion
One has to feel sorry for both the players and the coaching staff for the intense criticism they have come under the past few weeks. It was great to see the players play with freedom and enjoying their football again. While the quality of the opposition wasn’t great, if Spurs approach every game with the same level of intensity, then they should have no problems turning their form around.
