‘A good point in the end’ – What some Spurs players said on Twitter after Man City draw

Tottenham were somewhat fortunate to leave the Etihad Stadium on Saturday with a point after being under pressure from Manchester City for most of the game.

The Premier League champions dictated the tempo of the match from the off and peppered Hugo Lloris’ goal apart from a couple of spells which Spurs certainly made the most of.

While the Tottenham back line coped relatively well with the world-class attackers on display for Pep Guardiola’s side, a couple of moments of brilliance from Kevin De Bruyne proved to be their undoing.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s men can take heart from the fact that they came back into the game twice and did not buckle under pressure when going a goal down.

After the game, several Spurs stars including the likes of Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld took to social media to reveal their delight at walking away with a point from the encounter.

Here’s what they had to say on Twitter:

Spurs Web Opinion

There certainly seemed to be a massive gulf in quality between the sides on Saturday evening. However, one has to consider the fact that Spurs were without the likes of Son Heung-Min, Dele Alli and Juan Foyth while Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso are still getting used to a new way of playing. So a point was a very good result under the circumstances and one should expect the team to improve with more games under their belt.
