Former Scotland international Kris Boyd has urged Tottenham to snap up Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard this summer.
Edouard has been one of the most prolific strikers in Scottish football since moving to Celtic three years ago, initially on loan from Paris Saint-Germain before making the deal permanent in 2018.
The 22-year-old has been in sensational form this season, managing 21 goals and 12 assists in 27 league appearances so far (transfermarkt.com).
90min reported in January that Tottenham along with Chelsea and Manchester United were all keen on signing the young striker but he ended up staying put at Celtic Park.
Reports in March suggested that the Lilywhites could return for the striker’s services in the summer (Area Napoli).
Boyd feels that Edouard would be a good fit for Spurs and could forge a formidable partnership with Harry Kane.
The former Rangers star told The Scottish Sun: “Tottenham would also be a great fit for him (Edouard).
“The prospect of him playing alongside Harry Kane would be a mouth-watering one for Spurs fans.”

Edouard’s ability to play off the main striker, on the wing as well as a centre-forward would certainly give us a lot of options. However, there is no doubt the Premier League will be a massive step-up in terms of quality compared to the Scottish league and the jury is out on whether the Frenchman can cope with the defences in the English top flight.
