Jack Grealish has responded to Harry Kane’s post on Instagram about Tottenham’s win over Manchester City, with the Aston Villa man describing the Spurs striker as a ‘joke’ following his impressive display on Saturday evening.
As expected, City dominated possession against Spurs, with Jose Mourinho’s men being happy to defend deep and hit the away side on the break.
Kane put in another all-round display upfront as he held the ball up brilliantly against the City backline and constantly gave Tottenham an opportunity to play off him.
Although the 27-year-old did not get on the scoresheet, he had a part to play in both of Tottenham’s goals.
His movement dragged the City’s centre-halves out of position for Son Heung-min to run in behind to net Tottenham’s opener, while he turned, made several yards and played a perfectly weighted through ball for Giovani Lo Celso to score Spurs’ second.
Grealish knows first hand about Kane’s brilliant link-up play, with the pair combining impressively for England during the last international break.
