A look back at every major step in Christian Eriksen’s seven-season Tottenham career

As Tottenham announce that Christian Eriksen has officially left the club for Inter Milan, we wanted to look back at his seven-season Spurs career from start to finish (Wikipedia).

30 August 2013 – Spurs sign highly-rated 21-year-old playmaker from Ajax for a reported £11.5m (BBC).

14 September 2013 – Eriksen makes his Premier League debut against Norwich City, assisting Gylfi Sigurdsson in a 2-0 win.

19 September 2013 – Eriksen scores his first Spurs goal with a dipping strike over the keeper against Tromso in the Europa League.

26 December 2013 – Eriksen scores his first Spurs free-kick against West Brom on Boxing Day in a 1-1 draw.

1 January 2014 – Eriksen scores the winner in a momentous 2-1 away win at Old Trafford against Man United.

23 March 2014 – Spurs were 2-0 down against Southampton before Eriksen scored twice and assisted a late Sigurdsson winner to make it 3-2.

12 April 2014 – Eriksen scored an injury-time equaliser against West Brom. Spurs had come back from 3-0 down in the game.

2013/14 season – Eriksen was named Tottenham player of the season, Danish footballer of the year, and scored ten goals and assisted 13 more in his campaign.

2014 – By the end of the calendar year, now working under Pochettino, Eriksen had bagged 14 goals from open play, more than any other player in England.

28 January 2015 – Eriksen scored twice against Sheffield United to book a place for Spurs in the League Cup Final, including a sensational free-kick.

2014/15 – Eriksen featured in every Premier League game for Poch, starting all but one.

January 2016 – Eriksen won his third straight Danish footballer of the year award, the first player ever to do so.

2016 – Eriksen signed a new long-term contract at Tottenham.

2015/16 – Eriksen won the Tottenham player of the season award for the second time.

23 September 2017 – A goal against West Ham United made Eriksen the highest-scoring Danish player ever in the Premier League with 33.

9 December 2017 – Eriksen made his 200th appearance against Stoke City and scored.

January 2018 – Eriksen scored the third-fastest ever Premier League goal after 11 seconds against Man United at Wembley, his 50th goal for Spurs.

17 March 2018 – Eriksen scored a brace against Swansea to send Spurs to the FA Cup semi-final for the second year in a row.

1 April 2018 – Eriksen scored a 25-yard screamer in a momentous away win against Chelsea, their first at Stamford Bridge for 28 years.

14 April 2018 – Eriksen was named in the PFA team of the year for the first time.

2018/19 – Eriksen was a core member of the Champions League Final team and scored the sole goal in a 1-0 win over Inter Milan in the group stages that proved crucial.

31 March 2019 – Eriksen recorded ten or more assists for four consecutive seasons, the only other player to do this was David Beckham.

3 April 2019 – Eriksen recorded the first professional assist at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as well as the second-ever goal.

2020 – Eriksen finished his Spurs career on 304 games and 69 goals.
