‘A lot of things have changed’ – Nuno comments on ‘talented’ Ndombele

Nuno Espirito Santo has claimed that ‘a lot of things have changed’ with Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele but insists they must continue to be patient so he can keep improving.

The Frenchman has been enjoying a positive spell of form after cementing a spot in Tottenham’s midfield, with his most recent display coming in the side’s 3-2 win against Newcastle United on Sunday.

However, things at the start of the campaign looked rocky following the 24-year-old’s absence throughout the whole of pre-season after he allegedly told the club’s chiefs of his desire to leave in the summer.

However, Ndombele has managed to turn his fortunes around and looks to be enjoying his football, which was evident from his dominant and confident showing against the Magpies.

Nuno has praised the midfielder’s ability to bounce back from adversity and his sky-high talent, but remained coy when asking people to keep calm and allow him to continue flourishing in North London.

Nuno told Sky Sports (19/10/21 at 6:25 pm): “A lot of things have changed. I always said from the beginning. I can’t go and say all the things that happened.

“We are aware that since Tanguy commit himself to the club and the team. He’s so talented.

“We have to be patient. He is improving. He’s playing and doing his job well. But we have to be patient because I believe that Tanguy has a lot to give to us.”

Ndombele needs a run of games to show his true potential, and that looks to be the case currently. He has had a rocky time at Spurs since he joined the club two years ago, but it seems as if he has found a good spell of form. Let’s hope he can keep that going.
