‘A real joker’ – Timo Werner admits he finds one Spurs teammate hilarious

Timo Werner has named Fraser Forster as the funniest player at Tottenham, admitting that the goalkeeper often cracks him up.

Forster arrived at Tottenham from Southampton in the summer of 2022, with the Englishman serving as a backup to Hugo Lloris last season and then deputising for Guglielmo Vicario after the Italian’s arrival last summer.

While the 36-year-old got plenty of game time last season due to Lloris’ injury woes, his only appearance so far this season came in the Carabao Cup clash against Fulham back in August of last year.

The England international has not been helped by the fact that Tottenham are not in European competitions this season and got knocked out of both domestic cup competitions early.

Fraser Forster is the funniest Tottenham player

However, Forster is someone who certainly plays his part in keeping the morale high in the changing room, with Micky van de Ven admitting to the club’s official website last month that the goalkeeper is always cracking jokes.

That is an opinion that is shared by Werner, who said that while there are many funny players at Spurs, Forster is the one who takes the cake.

The German told the Getting to Know segment on Tottenham’s website: “Fraser is a funny guy, he’s a real joker. I think we have a lot of guys who are sometimes loud and like to have a laugh but Fraser is the main one.”

Spurs Web Opinion

So many of the Tottenham players speak highly of the Forster and his influence in the Spurs changing room, which is why I see the goalkeeper staying at the club as a back up at least until his current deal runs out in 2025.
