Chris Sutton has predicted that Chelsea will walk away with all three points from the London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium today.

Spurs have struggled for consistency over the last couple of months but they will take heart from the last two performances that they produced at home against Manchester City and West Ham United.

The Lilywhites are still without Antonio Conte, who is continuing to recover in Italy from the surgery to remove his gallbladder, with Cristian Stellini once again set to take charge of proceedings for the home side.

Chelsea are winless in their last ten matches across all competitions and Graham Potter’s position is understandably coming under scrutiny, with the West London club reported to be considering potential replacements for the former Brighton boss (90 min).

However, Sutton has predicted that Potter will get a shot in the arm on Sunday, backing the Blues to get back to winning ways against their local rivals.

The pundit told BBC Sport: “What a game this is. Chelsea’s record against Tottenham is excellent – they have won more Premier League games against them than any other opponents (33), and have taken 20 points from the past 24 available in this fixture, but it all counts for little here.

“Chelsea boss Graham Potter really needs a win on Sunday because I think Blues fans are at a tipping point and would not stand for losing to their bitter rivals.

“I actually admire Chelsea owner Todd Boehly for sticking with Potter so far but, just like at West Ham, that will change if his results don’t improve.

“This Chelsea team just can’t score goals though, while Tottenham are doing all right at the moment, with the old Harry Kane and Son Heung-min double act working again.

“It all points to a Tottenham win but they have been very inconsistent – or ‘Spursy’ – this season and I just have a feeling this might be the day where things go Potter’s way for once.”

Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Chelsea

Spurs Web Opinion

Form usually goes out of the window in games like this and there is no doubt that the Chelsea players will look at this game as an ideal opportunity to turn around their fortunes and start building some momentum.

Spurs can certainly not afford to take this game lightly and we need to match their intensity.
