Dejan Kulusevski has admitted that he wants Rodrigo Bentancur on his side if he ever goes to war, praising the midfielder for his mentality.
The ACL injury that Bentancur suffered back in February could not have come at a worse time for the midfielder, who had a fantastic first year at the North London club and become one of Tottenham’s most important players.
The 26-year-old admitted in an interview with Spurs Play recently that the eight months on the sidelines were quite challenging mentally and that he worked extremely hard to be back as soon as possible.
Bentancur has come on as a second-half substitute in Tottenham’s last three games and has already served as a reminder of just what the Lilywhites were missing, showcasing his tremendous composure in possession and tireless running off the ball.

Kulusevski is glad to have Bentancur on his side
Kulusevski, who played alongside the midfielder at Juventus as well, admitted that the Uruguay international is someone he will go to war with.
The Swede told Inside Spurs about his teammate’s return: “It just feels good. Feels good to be at war with him because he’s a warrior, he’s a machine, absolutely unbelievable.
“How he’s been training with this injury, zero fear. Just going hungry. He wanted to play months ago. He was so hungry so definitely he’s a guy I want to go to war with.”

Bentancur’s return is timely, given that Maddison is now out of action. While the former Juve man is a different player to the England international, he brings the composure and the technical quality in the middle of the park, which Spurs seemed to lack against Wolves until he came on.
