Jose Mourinho has reported that Heung-min Son picked up a knock towards the end of the game against Man City this evening.
Spurs lost the game at the Etihad 3-0 and the likes of Son found it difficult to create chances in front of the Ederson goal.
Deep in the second half, Son went it to tackle after a loose touch from Cancelo and ended up on the receiving end of a knock the ankle.
The South Korean hit the deck and spent some time nursing his injury on the turf, however, as Spurs had made all three substitutes by this point, he carried on until the final whistle.
Mourinho claimed that Son had taken a stud to the ankle which should have warranted a card, but added that he hoped it would not be a big problem for the winger.
Spurs are next in action on Thursday when they take on Wolfsberg in the Europa League knockout stages.
Mourinho said (Football London): “Well he has a wound in his ankle. A wound means a stud. A stud in the ankle means a card.
I don’t think a red, so the VAR can only interfere for a red. I don’t think a red, but if that’s not a yellow and the referee was 5 metres distance but it is a wound in the ankle. Hopefully nothing big.”
