Former Spurs player Aaron Lennon has now given his opinion on the idea of Harry Kane betraying his Tottenham roots to join Arsenal.

Harry Kane’s link to Arsenal – Look away Spurs fans
Over the past few weeks, it has been revealed that there is a clause in Harry Kane’s contract that allows the Spurs legend to leave Bayern Munich in the 2026 winter window for a cut price.
This has led many to suggest that the Englishman make a switch to Arsenal, a side currently in need of a number nine given their injury crisis.
Paul Merson, last week stated: “I mean, if he’s available, you’ve got to weigh it up. For me, it is [a bargain]. People will go ‘Oh, he’s this age, he’s that age’, but Arsenal need now…
“But if Arsenal haven’t won the league, you’ve got to take a chance and find someone who is proven. I wouldn’t be surprised. When you’ve got Harry Kane there and you go ‘right, he can go for £64million’, there are only a couple of teams who can buy him.”

Aaron Lennon on those Kane to Arsenal links
Former Tottenham player Aaron Lennon who has played with the Englishman, and has first-hand knowledge of Kane’s affection for Spurs, has now stated that there is no chance he will join Arsenal.
He told talkSPORT: “I’m not buying that, not a chance in the world Harry Kane goes to Arsenal.
“I think he goes to a better club (when he leaves Bayern) or he finishes his career back at Spurs. There’s no chance he goes to Arsenal, can you imagine what that would do? (to the Tottenham fans).”
Kane has continued to deliver for Bayern Munich this season, with his goal tally currently at 29. Amidst all this contract talks, the Englishman has reiterated that he is currently happy at his present club.

Harry Kane would be “hated” by Tottenham fans should he join Arsenal
Should England captain Harry Kane make the controversial switch to Arsenal, he would not be the first to do so—Sol Campbell made a similar move in 2001.
Aaron Lennon, who witnessed first-hand the fierce backlash from Tottenham Hotspur fans following Campbell’s switch, has now shared insight into the reaction Kane is likely to get.
He said: “I remember playing in a couple of games when Sol came back, they were a couple of my early derbies.
“I remember being in the warm up and thinking what are these boos that are going on? Big Sol came jogging out and I was like ‘wow’. He’s hated like you wouldn’t believe.”
This highlights how quickly Kane’s legacy at Tottenham could unravel if he makes the move. His legendary status at the club could rapidly deteriorate, with Spurs fans potentially branding him a traitor—just as they did with Sol Campbell.
