Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media after the club booked their place in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup.
It was a tense evening of football at Turf Moor with neither Burnley nor Tottenham looking to threaten during the first half.
Chances were few and far between with both teams struggling to show a creative spark in the final third of the pitch.
The goal finally came in the 69th minute when Emerson Royal’s cross from the right-hand side found the head of Lucas Moura and the Brazilian powerfully nodded the ball into the ground, to evade the reach of Nick Pope.
Lucas had earlier found himself having been called upon earlier than expected when took to the field in the 24th minute of the encounter at Turf Moor after Bryan Gil was forced off with what appears to be a hamstring injury.
The North Londoners will learn who they will face in the next round when the draw is made on Saturday morning.
Here is what a selection of Spurs fans had to say following the victory against Sean Dyche’s side.
Absolute dreadful performance again but got the win. Sanchez and Romero were immense last 20. Must of been a 100 long ball / throw in pumps forward from Burnley at the end. Sooner they get relegated the better

It’s gotta be Sanchez & Romero from now on… looked much better and some decent defending when burnley were doing their boring long throws #COYS

One step at a time. Whichever way you can. #COYS

Sanchez and Romero were absolute class. I want to see how many clearances they had. Fought for every ball until the last minute.

So under Nuno we must rely on luck 🙂 minority of games we won this season are by luck. Nuno out

Got the result. But doesn’t paper over the cracks. No shot on target for 65 mins. And backs to the wall after the goal. Defended well, but worryingly awful going forward! I still have no idea what style Nuno’s trying to implement on this side. 🤷🏼♂️

It was certainly an improvement for a decent spell in that second half, but that's not saying much. I'd honestly go all-out to win this competition now, with our best eleven playing the remaining matches. At least we'd have something to smile about… #EFLCup #BURTOT #THFC #COYS pic.twitter.com/Ve2VpLpcEv

Thank goodness we got the win but can’t lie the football needs to improve! A decent team would’ve opened us up today
