Some Spurs fans have blasted Sky Sports for their coverage of Tottenham’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Friday.
With United and Spurs both competing for Champions League qualification, the game was billed as a six-pointer in the race for the top four.
With the Lilywhites trailing the Red Devils by five points, a draw was far more beneficial for United than it was for the home side, who now have very little margin for error if they wish to seal a top-four finish.
However, it was not the team’s performance or the result that frustrated some Spurs fans when compared with Sky’s coverage of the game, which some believed was heavily Man Utd-centric.
Patrice Evra and Roy Keane were the pundits in the studio dissecting the match before kick-off, at half-time, and after the full-time whistle.
Predictably, most of the discussion was based around United, while Manchester legend Gary Neville sat in the commentary booth for the match.
Some Spurs fans threatened to cancel their Sky subscription following the lack of time they devoted to discussing Tottenham.
Spurs legend Graham Roberts was among those to take to social media to call out Sky Sports for their coverage of the game:

The MUTV love in on Sky was sickening. The quicker every team has their own channel feeding into unbiased broadcasting Premier Leagues own channel the better. Tonight was impossible to watch the pre and post game shows. That agenda is worse.

Sky sports coverage was an absolute disgrace tonight. From Tyler orgasming every time Bruno +Pogba touched the ball. Neville on co comms.Keane and Evra the studio. Absolutely disgusting I pay subscription just like a Man United fan does. I deserve at least some impartiality 🙄

@SkySports really disappointed with your coverage of #SpursVManUtd last night. The bias towards @ManUtd was so over bearing. Hardly any discussion about @SpursOfficial. As if there was only one team playing. Really really poor from you.

Absolute disgrace @SkySports the bias towards man United is unbelievable. Non stop pogba and fernandes talk. @SpursOfficial were playing at home and didnt get mentioned once. How was your punditry balanced? 2 ex united players. Sort it out!

.@SkySports can you ask your pundits if Tottenham were playing tonight?

@skysports. If you don’t balance out your pundits, I am cancelling my subscription. Streams are very easy to come by. Disgusting UTD bias tonight.

@SkySports Absolutely ridiculous the Man United bias tonight. Trying to imitate that Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba have a partnership over a penalty is pathetic

What an embarrassment @skysports all pundits on the tv Man Utd ex players why haven’t they got Keane and spurs player it’s like Man Utd tv

Spurs Web Opinion
It really is unacceptable that Sky Sports decided not to have any Spurs representation, either in punditry or in the commentary. It is not like Roy Keane and Patrice Evra offered an incisive analysis either. They were just letting their emotions get the better of them while criticizing and praising United’s stars. It was basically like watching MUTV’s coverage instead of a neutral broadcaster’s.
