‘Absolute machine’ – Some Spurs fans are encouraged following player’s social media update

Some Tottenham Hotspur fan have reacted positively to Harry Kane’s latest fitness update.

Kane has been out of action since New Year’s Day after rupturing a tendon in his left hamstring during the second half of the Premier League loss at Southampton.

The club subsequently confirmed that the 26-year-old underwent surgery and would not return to first-team training until April.

The striker has recently jetted off to the Caribbean to undertake a warm-weather training programme as part of his next phase of rehabilitation (Evening Standard).

Jose Mourinho recently revealed that he hopes to have Kane fit and available to face Leicester City on May 9th (The Guardian).

Yesterday, the England captain took to social media to post a video of himself doing strengthening exercises involving battle ropes.

Some fans were overjoyed to see the striker seemingly making real progress. However, a few were concerned that he might rush back too quickly and implored Kane to take the time he needed to recover completely.

One would hope that the club would learn from their previous mistakes and ensure not to rush Kane back. However, we have left ourselves massively short by failing to sign a striker in January. So, I feel Jose Mourinho is likely to throw Kane straight back in as soon as the striker declares himself fit.
