Some Tottenham fans on social media are not overly enthusiastic about the idea of Tottenham making a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria.
L’Equipe have claimed that Spurs have made contact with Di Maria’s entourage over a free transfer, with the Argentine’s contract in Paris running out in the summer.
Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on reuniting with the experienced winger who he worked with during his time in charge of Real Madrid.
It is said that although PSG want to keep hold of the 32-year-old, the wide man has rejected the club’s proposed cut to his current wage of £220,000 per week and that he would be open to a move to Tottenham should the North Londoners offer better terms.
However, some Spurs fans are sceptical about whether Di Maria would make the expected impact at Tottenham after his previous struggles in the Premier League with Manchester United.
Others were not on board with the signing due to the Argentinean international’s age and urged the club to go for a younger option.
Had moments of class, but didn't adapt to England when he was here… Wages would be ridiculous as well…

Spurs Web Opinion
Di Maria will be a typical Jose Mourinho singing in many ways as he is an experienced winner and is the kind of player who always puts the team first. While concerns over his age are valid, he still seems to have plenty of legs and if he is available on a free transfer, the move would not entail too much risk.
