“Absolutely Gutted” – Some Spurs fans react to Dele Alli’s injury

Tottenham overcame Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage courtesy of a late header from midfielder Harry Winks. It was a much-needed win three points for Tottenham as it increased the gap between themselves and Chelsea in fourth place to four points.

However, there was one major moment of concern for Spurs as Dele Alli who had earlier scored Tottenham’s equaliser, went down clutching his hamstring towards the end of the game. Alli was contesting a ball with Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon and suddenly seemed to feel his hamstring.

The England midfielder had to be replaced by Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, making some Spurs fans fear the worst.

With Kane out with an ankle injury and with Son Heung-Min unavailable due to his involvement in the Asia Cup, an injury to Alli would severely weaken Tottenham’s attacking options.

With the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi final asecond leg gainst Chelsea coming up on Thursday, it will be a major blow for Spurs to lose Alli for an extended period of time.

Here’s how some Spurs fans reacted to the injury:

Tottenham fans will be hoping that Alli was just withdrawn from the game as a precaution as losing him along with Kane and Son, would severely reduce the team’s goal threat.
