Gary Neville has claimed that Harry Kane was ‘absolutely not’ affected by recent form after watching the England captain in action during the 1-0 win against the Czech Republic.

Despite scoring 28 goals in all competitions last season, Kane is yet to open his account for England at Euro 2020, however, Neville is confident that he will find the back of the net.

Kane insisted prior to Tuesday’s victory that his performances have not been impacted by any injury concern or transfer speculation over his future (The Athletic).

The striker’s future at Tottenham Hotspur has been the subject of intense media speculation with Sky Sports claiming that Premier League champions Manchester City have tabled a £100million offer.

Neville told ITV Sport (22/6/21): “We said before the game, would he be affected by the last couple of games,”

“He’s absolutely not. He’s methodical. That’s what he does. Touch and hit. And the goals will come.”

Harry Kane’s peformances always appear to get scrutinised much more than any other player.  He is a word-class talent and any Spurs fan will vouch for that, especially following the season he has just had in North London from both a goalscoring and assist perspective.
