AC Milan are reported to be ready to use Klaas-Jan Huntelaar as part of a swap deal for Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Huntelaar only joined the Italian giants a £12million move from Real Madrid in the summer, but has failed to score in seven games for Milan.

Pavlyuchenko is fourth choice striker at White Hart Lane and is already fearing for his place in the Russian national side, should they qualify for next summer’s World Cup finals in South Africa.

Spurs were keen on Huntelaar during the summer, but failed to land the previously prolific Dutch international.

Would you swap Pavlyuchenko for Huntelaar?  Have your say, below.

  1. Huntelaar made his name in a poor league where major flops like Alfonso Alves and Kezman were also scoring 30+ goals a season. His wages would also be sky high and would he really end up any higher up the pecking order than Pavlyuchenko? And would the likes of Defoe, Keane and Crouch be content with being on less money than a player sitting on the bench. To me none of this adds up!

  2. Pavyluchenko has done pretty well when he’s played, but you can’t blame him for getting itchy feet. If we do sell him I’d rather we spent the money on a centre back ot two.

Gio should get the nod as fourth choice striker, until we can offer Champions League football (and the regular squad rotation than it demands) we can’t expect a senior international like Pavyluchenko to be happy warming the bench.

  3. You cannot keep 4 top strikers happy simple as that, no matter who they are so swapping for Huntelaar is fine but will he just not get cheesed off as well and leave in the summer. Does not bode well he hasnt hit the net yet either. But Pav just wont settle if he does not talk the lingo and to be honest for a big lad loses the ball all to easily off defenders. Would rather cahs in and bolster our defence with a big name.

  4. The only way I can see it happening is if Keane goes to Celtic and Modric is allowed play in an advanced CM position. Keancjar can occupy the left sided position
At present we can’t keep 4 strikers happy so it wouldn’t happen unless another one goes

  5. If pav wants to go yes if he doe sent then no why would we want to sign a player who has struggled to settle in two country’s and if the cheeky rumours are true the want a 20 year old Bale thrown in to the deal Harry needs to put that one to bed right away .This would be stupid to put it mildly Bale is going to be a sensation when he is 100 percent fit and played for a lot of games Ekotto is starting to look lazy in is tackling and is attacking he hardley goes past the half way line and is last good game was against Liverpool but only because e scored leave Bale at spurs
