Acadamy graduate handed his full Premier League debut

Pochettino has handed his latest academy graduate a full first team debut today against Burnley in the Premier League (Standard).

Oliver Skipp impressed the Argentine boss during the pre season trip to America, playing in games against the likes of Barcelona.

Skipp has made many appearances on the bench so far this season, and has even picked up the odd few minutes of game time.

However, this is his first real chance to make an impact in a Tottenham shirt as he replaces the rested Harry Winks and virus-struck Eric Dier.

The 18-year-old will hope to impress his manager during this rare appearance from the start, and he could play his way into Poch’s holiday plans.

There will be plenty of rotation around the festive period, and with Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama out injured, there could be a spare spot in the centre of that midfield.

Hopefully young Skipp does himself justice today.
