Rumoured Tottenham target Adam Smith has today responded to speculation over his future at Bournemouth.
In recent weeks 26 year old full-back Adam Smith emerged as a potential Summer signing for Premier League runners-up Spurs. Rumours began following speculation over Tottenham’s first choice right-back Kyle Walker amidst strong interest from Manchester City.
Today however, Smith responded to the transfer talk. Speaking to the Bournemouth Echo he said:
“That transfer talk is part of football, all the speculation builds towards the end of every season.”
“It is always nice to be talked about in a positive way, because it means you are doing something right. I would rather that than be getting bad press.”
“But I do not take too much notice of it. I am a Bournemouth player and I am planning to have a nice holiday now, then come back here next season.”
Last season, Smith scored 1 goal and managed the same amount of assists as Walker and Kieran Trippier (5).
