No chance for Adebayor

Manchester City have told Emmanuel Adebayor that he has no chance of playing if he remains at the club this season.

Tottenham had agreed a £5.5million fee to take the striker to White Hart Lane on a permanent deal following a successful loan spell last campaign, only for Adebayor to fail to agree severance terms with City.

We all know Adebayor commands a massive wage of £170,000 which means a deal can only be done if City agree to pay a percentage of his wages, or if the player himself accepts a drastic reduction in wages which is very unlikely.

“I am sorry for Adebayor because he has no chance at City,” Manager Roberto Mancini told the press.

“He has absolutely no chance of playing this season here so, for us, it’s important he can find a good solution.”

With the Premier League kicking off this weekend and the fact that we only have Defoe as a senior striker is very worrying.
