Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks with Middlesbrough for defender Djed Spence, according to Sky Sports’ North-East England reporter Keith Downie.
It is claimed that discussions are now at an advanced stage and there is hope that a deal can be reached by the weekend.
The England Under-21 international is the subject of talks which consist of a fee of around £15million plus add-ons.
Sky Sports claimed last week that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had taken over from managing director of football, Fabio Paratici to lead the negotiations with Boro which resulted in the latest rounds of talks ending with both parties in a difference in opinion over their valuation of the England Under-21 international.

It now looks set that both clubs have found common ground with the valuation of Spence and he is set to follow Richarlison through the door in north London with the pair expected to become and fourth and fifth signings of the summer window, respectively.
