Despite two successful Premier League loans, Sergio Reguilon was unable to secure a move away from Tottenham last summer. With his contract expiring at the end of June, clubs have begun showing interest in the defender’s services.

Sergio Reguilon barely got going at Tottenham
Sergio Reguilon was an expected signing by Tottenham Hotspur. Arriving late in the 2020 summer window, Reguilon became the standout signing for Jose Mourinho that summer.
Reguilon joined Tottenham during a tumultuous time when Jose Mourinho was sacked towards the end of the season. The following season featured Nuno Espírito Santo as manager, but he was also swiftly replaced by Antonio Conte.
Reguilon was never first choice under Conte and eventually went on loans to Atletico Madrid, Brentford and Manchester United.
Reguilon has only featured as a last resort under Ange Postecoglou and will certainly be looking to move on in the summer.

Three clubs are interested in picking up Sergio Reguilon
According to Paul O’Keefe on X, two clubs from Spain as well as AEK Athens are interested in signing Sergio Reguilon in the summer.
Despite the clubs voicing interest while the January window remains open, Reguilon is reportedly under no rush to make a decision and could possibly finish the season and the remainder of his contract at Tottenham.
Reguilon may prefer a return to La Liga where he has had the most success in his career. While only playing together briefly, Reguilon could join former Spurs player, Erik Lamela in Athens.

Spurs will need to sign another left-back
While Djed Spence has performed admirably in Destiny Udogie’s absence, Spurs have no left-footed left-back other than Sergio Reguilon.
Ben Davies is now generally considered to be a centre-back and his contract also expires in the summer. So alongside several other positions, left-back will be a necessity in the summer window.
