Italian football agent Stefano Antonelli has said that Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is more likely to join Tottenham Hotspur than Newcastle United.
The speculation linking Spurs with a move for Vlahovic has gone into overdrive since Antonio Conte’s arrival at Tottenham last month.
According to some reports, Conte made it clear as soon as he arrived at Tottenham that he wants the club to prioritise a move for the Serbian international.
The North London club are thought to be facing competition from the likes of Juventus, Arsenal and Manchester City for the 21-year-old’s signature.
More recently, it has emerged that Newcastle United have also entered the race for the centre-forward.
The Times’ Gary Jacobs claimed earlier this week that Fiorentina are demanding £77m to sell their talisman in January.
Antonelli has given Spurs fans hope by suggesting that the North London club appear to be the most likely destination for Vlahvoic of the two clubs as things stand but the agent suggested that a summer exit is more likely for the striker.

He told TuttoMercatoWeb: “Vlahovic’s story with the Viola from a contractual point of view must be considered closed at the moment.
“But I expect the departure more in the summer than in January.
“[Tottenham] is the most accredited solution. Newcastle would be crazy for a player like that today, but Tottenham have a very different appeal.”

I am certainly not getting my hopes up regarding Vlahovic as I cannot see Spurs meeting Fiorentina’s asking price for the striker in January. I also expect a lot more clubs to enter the race for the Serbian next summer if he maintains his current run of form.
