Agent denies interest in forward who has been linked with Spurs

It was reported a few days ago that Tottenham were among a host of Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Leicester, and West Ham, who were monitoring Wolfsberger AC striker Shon Weissman (90min).

The Israeli international has been in sensational form for Wolfsberger since making the move to the club in the summer. His goals scoring exploits since moving to Austria have reportedly caught the attention of several European clubs.

It was claimed that scouts from over a dozen clubs across Europe were reportedly in attendance to watch the forward in action in the Europa League against Roma last Thursday.

However, Weissman’s agent Lino Heiduck has thrown cold water over the suggestions of the forward attracting interest from the top clubs in Europe.

Speaking about the reported interest in Weissman, Heiduck told Austrian publication, Kleine Zeitung (via SPOX): “That’s not serious and fictitious.”

While Heiduck did confirm that he is in contact with other clubs, he insisted that the 23-year-old centre forward isn’t keen on leaving Wolfsberger for the moment.

He added, “It’s a normal process (being in touch with other clubs) I will not burden Shon with such things.

“He signed a two-year deal at WAC three months ago and has only played 13 games for Wolfsberger, and he feels very comfortable here.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham failed to replace Fernando Llorente in the summer which has left the team short of a plan B upfront. I believe it is important that the club brings in a centre forward like Llorente who will be an areal threat and can hold the ball up as it will give Pochettino a different ace up his sleeve if things aren’t going to plan.
