Agent of Spurs-linked defender admits client is attracting Premier League interest

The agent of rumoured Tottenham target Radu Dragusin has admitted that his client is attracting interest from a whole host of Premier League clubs.

Dragusin has made just four appearances for Juventus since breaking into the Old Lady’s first team aged just 18 back in 2020.

After struggling for game time in his loan spells at Sampdoria and Salernitana last season, the 20-year-old is having a breakthrough season on loan at Genoa in 2022-23, having been one of the standout players in the Italian second tier this season.

Serie B News reported two months ago that Fabio Paratici has been a fan of Dragusin since his time at Juventus and was looking to bring him to Spurs in January.

It was explained that Genoa have the option to sign the Romanian permanently for €5.5m (£4.8m) plus €2m (£1.7m) in bonuses, with the Spurs managing director said to be ready to snap up the defender from the Serie B side.

Dragusin’s agent Florin Manea has now revealed that there are a growing number of suitors for his client in England and hinted that a summer move may be on the cards for the defender.

Manea told the Romanian publication Digi Sport: “There is serious interest from England in him. He’s only been at Genoa for six months.

“Our plan is to let him play there for at least a year. We want him to play for another year in Serie A, and then we think he’ll be ready for any top club in the world.

“The top five clubs in England are seriously watching him. But, for now, he’s doing very well at Genoa.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It seems clear that Paratici is the driving force behind Tottenham’s rumoured interest in Dragusin. However, the Spurs managing director’s future in North London now seems to be in major doubt after the Juventus capital gains verdict. I would not be surprised if Tottenham parted ways with the 50-year-old when the January window closes.
