Agent of Spurs-linked goalkeeper insists he is happy at current club

The agent of reported rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Bartlomiej Dragowski has insisted that there is interest from other clubs in the goalkeeper.

Dragowski has been a regular for Fiorentina over the past two seasons, having originally joined from Jagiellonia Bialystok in 2016 and initialy found regular first-team football hard to come by in Italy (transfermarkt).

Viola News recently reported that Spurs, Southampton and West Ham United were all interested in the one-cap Polish international, who was overlooked for their Euro 2020 campaign by manager Paulo Sousa.

His agent Mariusz Kulezsa insisted that while there is interest in his client, the 23-year-old is happy at Fiorentina and is looking forward to challenging for a place in the top six of Serie A next season.

“Sure (there’s interest). There are many teams following Bart, but at the moment we are under contract with Fiorentina and this is the most important thing for us,” Kulezsa told Fiorentina News.

“Yes of course, we are excited and looking forward to starting next season. I think a club like Fiorentina should be fighting for the top six in Italy.”

Tottenham number one Hugo Lloris is out of contract in June of next year (transfermarkt) and admitted that he would answer questions about his future once his involvment in the Euros was over (Nice-Matin).

France were surprisingly knocked out of the tournament earlier this week after losing 5-4 on penalties to Switzerland.

Hugo’s contract situation is naturally a concern for Tottenham, however they do have an able deputy in Joe Hart. If Lloris was to leave, Fabio Paratici would have to look to bring in another keeper to challenge for the number one jersey.

Sam Johnstone of West Bromwich Albion would be a sensible option given his relatively low price tag and age.
