Agent of Spurs player claims they are looking at potential European transfers

Lucas Moura’s agent has revealed the Tottenham Hotspur attacker is unlikely to return to Brazil when his contract expires at the end of the season, and is instead eyeing a move to a European club.

The Brazilian winger joined Spurs from PSG in 2018 and has amassed 218 appearances for the Lilywhites over the years, registering 38 goals and 27 assists during his time in North London (Transfermarkt).

With his current contract expiring at the end of this season, Tottenham have decided not to renew Moura’s deal and the 30-year-old will find a new club come the summer.

The player’s agent, Junior Pedroso, previously told Jorge Nicola’s YouTube Channel that Moura had offers on the table.

According to Goal, Moura is attracting interest from the Premier League, Serie A, Major League Soccer, and Qatar.

With just nine games left of the season, the time will soon come where Moura has to make a decision.

UOL previously suggested the Spurs stay may go back to his native Brazil, but that doesn’t appear to be the case now.

Speaking to Nicola once more, Pedroso said this on the prospect of his client returning to Brazil at the end of his contract: “There is no movement in that direction.

“We are studying proposals in Europe to choose the best path for Lucas.”

Spurs Web Opinion

There is no doubt that Moura has little to contribute to Tottenham now and I suspect he would need to take a significant step down when he selects his next club.

However, he still has lots to offer and it would be interesting to see what he could do if he was a first-team regular at a mid-level club.

I can see Moura still doing a job in the Premier League and I’m sure there would be plenty of clubs keen to snap him up.
