Agent of Spurs target doubts his man will sign a new deal

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked to a number of big players this year, with the media perhaps willing Levy and co to actually make a signing.

Spurs were the only Prem side not to make a single signing this summer, and the only Prem side ever to do this.

It is unclear whether Tottenham will buy in the January window or not, but surely they have to buy another player eventually, right?

The agent of Spurs target Anthony Martial has come out this week, stating that his client is unlikely to sign a new deal at Man United.

United will likely take the option to extend Martial’s current deal by one year, but if they don’t get him to sign a new contract, he will leave on a free in the summer of 2020.

Perhaps this gives Tottenham fresh hopes of either signing him on the cheap over the next year, or even getting him on a free further down the line.

Martial’s agent, Phillipe Lanboley, told RMC Sport (as reported by the Evening Standard): “I am very pessimistic about discussions going positively.

“They‘ve already made several offers that come nowhere near to what we expect.”
