Agent of Tottenham player confirms he has met with ‘many interested teams’

Lucas Moura’s agent, Junior Pedroso, has now revealed that many clubs have come forward recently to hold talks regarding a deal for the Tottenham man.

With Moura set to be a free agent in June (Transfermarkt), unsurprisingly, the speculation over the winger’s future is intensifying as we get closer to the summer transfer window.

Over recent weeks, Turkish outlets have talked up the possibility of the 30-year-old joining Fenerbahce, with the Spurs star thought to be a top priority for the Istanbul-based club (Haber Global).

Goal reported a couple of days ago that the former Paris Saint-Germain has attracted interest from the Premier League, Serie A, Major League Soccer and Qatar.

The publication added that Moura was demanding a three-year contract, with a total package of €10m (£8.8m) to sign on the dotted line.

South American outlet Bolovip even asserted on Friday that the Tottenham man could make a shock switch to Palmeiras.

Pedroso has now rubbished the speculation about a potential switch to Palmeiras but he did confirm that plenty of clubs have already come forward with interest in his client.

Mour’s agent told Jorge Nicola’s YouTube Channel (03/03/23 as translated by Sport Witness): “It’s not true. There was no contact from Palmeiras. No poll, no proposal.

“It is still early to close with any club. I can assure you that we are meeting with many interested teams in Europe.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I cannot see Moura returning to Brazilian footballer in the summer as he would still want one final big payday before hanging up his boots.

While a move to the MLS or the Middle East is on the cards, I expect the winger to end up in Serie A as he will likely feel that he has a couple of years of football left in him at the highest level.
