The agent of Radu Dragusin has handed Tottenham a potential blow by suggesting that a move away from Genoa is only likely to be on the cards next summer.
Various reports over the last couple of months have reported that Spurs are keeping an eye on Dragusin, whose stock has grown rapidly since his switch to Genoa 18 months ago (Mirko Di Natale).
At the start of this month, Calciomercato suggested that Tottenham are ‘crazy’ about the 21-year-old, having scouted him a number of times this season as they look to bolster their central defensive options.
Earlier this week, TEAMtalk claimed that Ange Postecoglou‘s side were now ready to step up their pursuit of the Romanian international ahead of the January transfer window.
The outlet claimed that the centre-back is valued at around £26m, which the Lilywhites are said ready to pay to bring him to N17.
Dragusin is unlikely to leave in January
However, Dragusin’s agent, Florin Manea, has appeared to rule out a transfer for his client until after next summer’s European Championship in Germany.
He revealed that while there has been contact from interested clubs for the former Juventus man, no club has launched an offer yet for the player.
When asked about the speculation over Dragusin’s future, he told TuttoJuve: “I can say that there have been contacts, because he’s a player that several clubs like, but at the moment there are no official offers.
“He wants to finish the season with Genoa, then he will be focused on the Euros with his national team. We will talk with the club and we will take stock of the situation, so as to understand how things can evolve.”

Despite Manea’s statement, one would think that Radu Dragusin‘s head would be turned if Tottenham expressed an interest in him next month. Genoa are also not likely to turn down an offer in the region of £30m for the 21-year-old and the North Londoners have already shown their defensive frailties when Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are both not available for selection.
