22-year-old midfielder is wanted by Tottenham

The player in question is Shakhtar Donetsk’s Georgiy Sudakov, who has been making waves back in Ukrainian football, with his list of admirers growing by the day.

It has been widely reported that Tottenham have sent scouts to Ukraine to run the rule over the attacking midfielder’s performances this season.

However, Spurs are not the only Premier League side after the Shakhtar man, with TBR Football revealing that Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have all made enquiries while Newcastle, West Ham United and Aston Villa are in the mix.

Georgiy Sudakov’s agent makes a big revelation

Sudakov‘s agent, Vadim Shabliy, who was the man who orchestrated Mykhaylo Mudryk’s big-money switch from Shaktar to Chelsea, has now addressed the transfer speculation.

Shabliy admitted that several Premier League clubs are keen on securing Sudakov’s services and added that the midfielder will likely end up in one of the top leagues in Europe very soon.

Speaking to The Standard, he said about the Shakhtar player: “Georgiy is a player with a great future. He, like most footballers, wants to try his hand at the top championships. It is absolutely normal when a player wants to grow professionally.

“Previously, Serie A giants and others were interested in him. Now, teams from the Premier League are actively showing interest in him. I am sure that when we are all ready to move on, Georgiy will move to a top club.

“We, Shakhtar and the player are open to offers. And that means there is a high probability that we will soon be able to see Georgiy in the top leagues.”

What Sudakov said recently about his future plans

The Ukraine international has made no secret of his transfer desires, admitting just a few days ago that he dreams of playing in England or Spain.

Sudakov told Marca: “I want to continue to develop and help the team succeed. [But] in the future, I want to try myself in one of the best European championships.

“I think my style is better suited to Spain or England. La Liga values technical skills, while the Premier League would help me improve physically and tactically.”

When asked to describe his own game, the 22-year-old said in the same interview: “I consider myself a creative midfielder who loves to control the game, make key passes and help the team both in attack and defence.

“I strive to be a leader on the pitch, a player who sets the pace of the game. As a child, I admired Andres Iniesta and Luka Modric for their intelligence and composure on the ball. I am also inspired by Kevin de Bruyne for his creativity and influence in decisive matches.

“My strengths are vision, passing accuracy and reading the game. However, I am constantly working on improving my finishing and fitness to become a more versatile player.”
