Ajax score four in their last match before Spurs but show one clear weakness

It is under a week until Tottenham face one of the biggest games in their recent history, a semi final first leg against Ajax in the Champions League.

While Tottenham still have to negotiate a tough London derby against West Ham this weekend, Ajax now have their schedule clear until the big European clash.

This comes after the Dutch league decided to postpone a whole week of features to ensure Ajax were fit, rested, and ready for the big match.

Spurs were not afforded the same luxury by the English Premier League, unfortunately.

Ajax also warmed up for the semi-final in the perfect way, putting four goals past Vitesse Arnhem.

With goals from Ziyech, de Ligt, and two from Tadic, Ajax romped to a 4-2 victory.

However, two of Ajax’s goals came from the penalty spot, and the two they conceded came from similar situations, namely aerial balls crossed from the right wing.

Tottenham will likely have to play Fernando Llorente up front in the absence of Son and Kane, and with Trippier and Eriksen crossing from the right, could they get some joy?
