Alan Shearer has predicted that all three of Man City, Tottenham, and Liverpool will finish in the Premier League top four this season, although Pep Guardiola’s side will ‘without doubt’ lift the trophy (ViaPlay).
Spurs have started the domestic campaign on fire under Antonio Conte, remaining unbeaten after their first even Premier League matches.
In fact, Tottenham’s only dropped points of the campaign came away to Chelsea and West Ham United, leaving them level with Man City in the table and just one behind leaders Arsenal.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are all the way down in eighth, having endured a torrid start to the season, accumulating just nine points from their first six fixtures.
Despite this, Shearer still expects Jurgen Klopp’s men to turn things around and qualify in the Champions League places.
However, Arsenal were only mentioned as an after-thought for the record Premier League top goalscorer in his top four prediction, despite them currently topping the table.
He said: “Manchester City will, without doubt, win it. I still think Liverpool will, without doubt, improve. They haven’t had the start that they wanted.

“I think Tottenham will be really strong. I think with the forward players they now have, you add Richarlison to that forward line on top of what they had last season.
“So, they will go out and win games. I expect Man City, Liverpool and Tottenham (to finish in the top four).”

I would also agree that those four will likely finish in the top four. But we all know how quickly things can change in the Premier League, especially when you put a World Cup in the middle of the season. Injuries and fatigue will play a huge part in the top-four race.
