One Tottenham star made it into Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Week on the back of his performance against Brighton.
Despite Tottenham going 2-0 down against the Seagulls with just half an hour of the game gone, Joao Palhinha admitted that the Spurs players were disappointed not to win on Saturday.
Such was their dominance in the second half and even for large stages of the first period, with both of the home side’s goals coming against the run of play.
In fact, Thomas Frank felt Tottenham produced their best performance of the season against Brighton, with the Lilywhites having plenty of positives to take from the 2-2 draw.

Tottenham man makes Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week
Richarlison got his third goal of the season at the Amex Stadium, with his goal before half-time changing the complexion of the game.
The Tottenham striker was named in Squawka’s Team of the Week, and he also found a place in Shearer’s eleven, with the pundit impressed by the threat he posed all game.
The Newcastle legend wrote on the Premier League’s official website about Richarlison: “A constant thorn in the side for Brighton’s defence, he scored a crucial goal just before half-time to get Spurs back into the match as they earned an impressive point from 2-0 down.”
Richarlison has been handed an expected chance
Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Munai remain out of action at the moment, although the pair are expected to return to action quickly.
As a result, Mathys Tel is the only other option that Frank has upfront, and the Tottenham boss has even said that Tel’s best position is on the left.
Richarlison is thus having a run of starts that he may not have expected before the start of the season, and the Brazilian will be keen to keep scoring to make himself undroppable.
