Alan Sugar aims a dig at Postecoglou after Spurs’ loss against West Ham

Tottenham’s former owner Alan Sugar has mocked Ange Postecoglou after the Australian’s side threw away yet another lead against West Ham.

Spurs went into the game against the Hammers with a decent amount of momentum after winning a point at the Etihad Stadium and the morale around the club was good following Cristian Romero’s return from his suspension.

Things were all going to plan in the first 25 minutes as the home side completely dominated and took the lead through the Argentine centre-back.

However, what followed was quite a familiar story, with the Lilywhites struggling to make their dominance count and add to the lead, only for to throw away the points in the second half due to some defensive lapses.

The result means that Tottenham have now lost three straight home matches, and it is difficult to fathom how they have managed to do that, given the chances they created in those three games against Chelsea, Aston Villa and West Ham.

Alan Sugar mocks Postecoglou with unfunny joke

Postecoglou was understandably quite annoyed in his post-match press conference, admitting that his players lacked conviction in the final third (Football.London).

Sugar has now taken to social media to make a joke at the Australian’s expense.

Spurs Web Opinion

As frustrating as our current run of results is, I am not as concerned as I was when we had bad patches under Conte and Mourinho.

I thought we controlled the game quite well (better than we did against Villa and Chelsea), even though we did not create too many gilt-edged chances. I do think that the results will start turning around once we iron out a few small details.
