Lord Sugar posts funny Arsenal-related tweet

Lord Alan Sugar has posted a picture on Twitter trolling Arsenal fans on Thursday.

The former Spurs chairman uploaded a picture from BBC News with a ‘Breaking News’ banner which read ‘Syria agrees to Russian plan to have arsenal destroyed’.

The caption on the post was ‘I’m no fan of Russia, but if they can pull this off I’m all in’.

Sugar replied to this funny post with the word ‘True’ in a clever reference to Tottenham’s North London rivals.

This tweet came before Arsenal’s embarrassing 2-2 draw with Watford yesterday, despite the Gunners leading the Premier League’s bottom side by two goals to nil.

Sugar was Tottenham chairman from 1991 to 2001 but was a divisive figure amongst fans. He was largely unpopular for treating the club as more of a business venture than a football club. He famously said after he left the club that his time there had been a ‘waste of time’ (Telegraph).

This clearly hasn’t stopped him from supporting the club however, as he never misses an opportunity to troll Arsenal fans and his feud with Piers Morgan is ongoing and brilliant.

Spurs Web Opinion

Despite the mixed opinion of Sugar amongst Spurs fans, his Twitter activity shows that he is Spurs through and through! Arsenal fans definitely won’t like that tweet though!
