Alasdair Gold claims heavily-linked candidate is not a ‘top choice’ for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a new head coach continues to create plenty of waves in the media.

News of a potential return to North London for Mauricio Pochettino dominated the headlines this morning with Sky Sports claiming that the Argentine is in talks with Tottenham over a remarkable return to the club.

Pochettino was appointed as PSG’s new manager in January, having signing a contract until June 2022, with the option for an extra year.

Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold took part in a Q&A session with supporters earlier today and was asked whether Graham Potter is still in the running to succeed Jose Mourinho.

Gold admitted that while the Brighton boss is someone that the club like, he is not among the top choices for the job.

Brighton deputy chairman and chief executive Paul Barber revealed earlier this month that his side have no desire to lose the former Swansea City coach and insisted that the 46-year-old is happy on the south coast (The Argus).
