Alasdair Gold confirms Spurs are expected to move for wing-back Filip Kostic

Tottenham are reportedly in line to make a move for Eintracht Frankfurt wing-back Filip Kostic, according to Football.London.

Spurs are set for a busy summer under Antonio Conte after the club confirmed on Tuesday it will receive a £150 million cash injection from owners ENIC to improve the team.

The Telegraph claim the Italian coach has allegedly requested as many as six signings ahead of the transfer window, with a new left-sided wing-back thought to be on the agenda.

And on their radar is Frankfurt wide man Kostic with Football.London now reporting that Tottenham are expected to up their pursuit of the 29-year-old.

The Serbia international has enjoyed a strong campaign with the Bundesliga side, who recently ended a 42-year wait for a European trophy after their triumph in the Europa League final over Rangers.

Alasdair Gold wrote: ‘Spurs will move quickly to start bringing those players in and are expected to make a move for Eintracht Frankfurt’s 29-year-old left wing-back Filip Kostic, who is in the last year of his contract.’

Kostic, who tallied seven goals and 15 assists (Transfermarkt) is said to be valued at around £12 million as he enters the final year of his Frankfurt contract (Mirror).

Kostic would be an excellent addition to bolster Conte’s options at wing-back and he has been demonstrating his comfort in the role over the last few years.

It is likely to be a tricky move to complete given he has just won the Europa League and is one of Frankfurt’s key players, but Tottenham should have confidence in completing such a deal.
