Gudmundsson has been one of the standout attacking players in the Serie A this season and the versatile star is being backed to make a step up to a bigger club when the transfer window opens in June.

Tottenham are looking at Albert Gudmundsson

Gold has now also said that Gudmundsson is very much on Tottenham’s radar ahead of the summer, explaining that the Lilywhites face competition from Inter Milan and Juventus for the player.

The journalist claims that the Iceland international is expected to be available for a fee between £21.5m and £26m and reveals that there are murmurs in Italy that he would prefer to remain in Serie A.

Finally, Gold also adds that Dragusin’s presence at Spurs may give the Lilywhites an advantage while also pointing out that Gudmundsson is represented by the GG11 agency, who also have Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario on their books.

Tottenham would not have any trouble meeting Genoa’s asking price and they would likely be able to offer Gudmundsson a higher salary than the likes of Inter and Juve could.

However, the decision would likely come down to the attacking midfielder himself and Spurs would be hoping that Radu Dragusin could play a part in convincing his former teammate to join him at Hotspur Way.
