Alasdair Gold has explained that Antonio Conte, Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici are all expected to be involved in a meeting when the Italian boss returns to Hotspur Way this month (Football London).

With the Qatar World Cup putting the Premier League on hold for over a month, Conte has the perfect chance to recharge his batteries and work with some of his non-international players.

Gold explains that Conte was supposed to hold a ‘crunch meeting’ of sorts with the Spurs hierarchy at the end of last season, but Tottenham qualifying for the Champions League essentially resolved his future automatically.

Conte reportedly talks with Paratici every single day during the season, and even Levy most days, but a proper meeting will likely occur. In this meeting, Gold suggests Conte will explain his needs for the January window, while Levy and co will decide what is realistic.

Chief scout Leonardo Gabbanini and scout Lorenzo Giani will also likely have input when it comes to new signings. Gold even added that Conte’s contract ‘could be discussed’.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Conte wants all these extra players in January then Levy is likely going to want some kind of time commitment in return, so these meetings could be very telling. All in all, I expect them to go well as it makes sense for all parties to continue working together and spending money.
