Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that there is an increasing belief at Tottenham Hotspur that Jose Mourinho will not be at the club next season.
Pressure has been growing on Mourinho owing to Tottenham’s struggles over recent months, with several sources indicating that the Portuguese coach runs the risk of losing his job.
Alasdair Gold has now become the latest journalist to suggest that the Portuguese coach’s days at the club could be numbered.
The journalist reveals that the inability to get the club back into the top four is likely to cost Mourinho his job, irrespective of what happens in the Carabao Cup final next weekend.
It is said that while the Spurs boss has not lost the dressing room, the club’s hierarchy believe that he has been unable to get the best out of what he has at his disposal.
Gold reveals that Julian Nagelsmann and Brendan Rodgers are at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist to replace the 58-year-old but getting Nagelsmann could prove difficult as Bayern Munich also have eyes on the RB Leipzig boss.
