Alasdair Gold names five attackers on Tottenham’s radar ahead of January

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have identified five attackers as potential January targets, including two from the Premier League and one from the Championship.

Gold confirms the claim made by other publications that Conte wants to replace Bryan Gil, who is expected to be loaned out, with another attacker who can play out wide.

The journalist provides two familiar names in Shakhtar Donetsk Tete (on loan at Lyon) and Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi, who have both been mooted as targets for the North London club over recent weeks.

In addition, he reveals that Fabio Paratici is also a fan of Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes but states that the 25-year-old would come with a hefty price tag as the Foxes are reluctant to part company with him.

Gold adds that Paratici also has his eye on Watford winger Ismaila Sarr, who has nine goal contributions in 19 Championship matches this season and also found the back of the net for Senegal at the World Cup (Transfermarkt).

Finally, the journalist hints that Tottenham could also reignite their interest in Wilfried Zaha, who has just six months left to run on his contract, but explains that the club could face plenty of competition for the Crystal Palace star.

From this list of five, I believe that Barnes stands out above the rest but the Leicester City star will be the hardest to get on the list.

Zaha seems like a very realistic target and a player who could potentially offer similar dynamism in the attacking third to Kulusevski, and potentially challenge Son for a place in the starting eleven.

Sarr is also a really interesting option as he is most comfortable playing on the right and would be relatively cheap since he has just 18 months left on his contract (Trasfermarkt).
