Alasdair Gold names six players Spurs could cash in on this summer

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Tottenham could cash in on as many as seven first-team players during this summer’s transfer window.

It has been more than two years since Mauricio Pochettino warned of a ‘painful rebuild’ being necessary at Tottenham.

The rebuild is still far from over and the North London club have certainly found it to be much more painful than they anticipated.

The weaknesses in the Spurs squad were badly exposed over the course of the season as the club failed to secure a top-six finish for the first time since 2009.

Reports have indicated that Tottenham would have to sell some players to raise funds for their rumoured targets and Gold has now put forward several names who the club could consider moving on.

The journalist reveals that Spurs may listen to offers for Serge Aurier, Harry Winks, Erik Lamela and Moussa Sissoko assuming the club get the green light to do so by their new manager.

He also adds that Tottenham could be prepared to sell Cameron Carter-Vickers permanently and suggests that Lucas Moura could also be on his way out if the club receive a significant bid for the Brazilian.

Additionally, Gold expects at least one of Spurs’ four senior centre-backs to be sold, with the club planning on strengthening in the position.
