Alasdair Gold predicts three Spurs stars will sign new contracts in 2024

According to Alasdair Gold’s predictions for the year ahead, we should expect to see new contracts offered to Heung-min Son, Yves Bissouma, and Pape Sarr in the coming weeks and months.

While Ange Postecoglou heads into his second transfer window as Spurs boss with plenty of areas in his squad to reinforce, it seems the club is increasingly happy with players already within the ranks at N17.

We have already seen Destiny Udogie secure a huge new contract with Spurs thanks to his form in the first half of the season, with the youngster now tied to the club until 2030.

More recently, young midfielder Pape Sarr has emerged as a contender for a new contract, with The Athletic claiming Spurs are set to offer the 21-year-old a new and improved six-year-deal.

So, while Spurs look to the transfer market this month to secure fresh talent to improve the squad, it seems there is a renewed commitment to locking in established first team players for the long haul, too.

Alasdair Gold predicts new contracts aplenty

That’s the opinion of Alasdair Gold who, in his latest for Football.London, took a shot at predicting what Spurs fans can expect in terms of new contracts being handed out in the next few months of 2024.

He wrote: “New contracts aplenty should follow throughout the year with skipper Son Heung-min, Pape Matar Sarr, and Yves Bissouma among the likely candidates for bumper new deals.”

Gold also expects Spurs to achieve great things this year with Postecoglou, if they can weather the storm of this next month while they wait for players to return from injury and international duty. He believes Spurs will “make everyone sit up and take notice” in 2024.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham have been guilty in the past of handing out long-term contracts to players who don’t deserve them, and the club is still paying the price for that, with many of those players still on the books. It’s impossible to know what the future will hold, but I’m confident these three players will serve us well and be deserving of the new deals.
