Football London’s Alasdair Gold has now given fans an update on the situation surrounding academy graduate, Cameron Carter-Vickers.
The journalist reported that there has been ‘plenty’ of interest in the USA international so far this summer, with just 12 months left on his current contract.
Carter-Vickers has been seen in pre-season matches this summer but was an unused substitute against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.
The centre-back has been linked with a potential move to Celtic in recent weeks, but Spurs reportedly want around £5m for their man (Daily Record).
Although he has never been given a real chance in the Tottenham first-team, making just four appearances, Carter-Vickers has been sent out on loan in the lower leagues on a number of occasions.
Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, Swansea City, Stoke City, Luton Town, and AFC Bournemouth have all had the defender on their books since 2017.
Spurs Web Opinion:
£5m is a bit steep but I’m sure Cameron Carter-Vickers will be sold this summer. It is about time he was given the chance to go and make a name for himself elsewhere. His time for loan moves is over.
