Alasdair Gold provides update on whether Real Madrid are likely to re-sign Reguilon

Real Madrid have not yet to show an indication that they are interested in bringing Sergio Reguilon back to the club, according to Football.London.

The Spanish giants are said to have an option to buy back the left back either this summer or next, which would see Tottenham net a profit of £15million as part of an agreement in the original deal that took him to North London last year.

Reguilon started the season for Tottenham in impressive form, having shown his raw pace and ability to deliver an accurate cross in the oppostion penalty area, however, the standard of his performances did drop off considerably towards the end of the season.

The 24-year-old was left out of Luis Enrique’s squad for Euro 2022, having not featured for his country since November (transfermarkt).

Reguilon was in brilliant form while things were going well under Jose Mourinho while the side were top of the Premier League table in early November, but struggled in the later stages of the campaign with his confidence in defensive situations.
