Alasdair Gold reports Tottenham are not even considering hiring Nagelsmann

Alasdair Gold and Dan Kilpatrick have both taken to Twitter to report that Tottenham are not considering Julian Nagelsmann as a candidate for the manager job.

Sources from Spurs have apparently indicated that the club have not met with Nagelsmann and do not intend to meet with him at all.

It appears that Daniel Levy and co have ‘a lot of respect’ for the young German, but do not see him as a good option for them at the moment,

Reports in Germany had indicated over the last few days that while Tottenham had held preliminary talks with the former Bayern Munich man, Nagelsmann wanted clarity regarding who the club’s next director would be before seriously considering the role (Sport 1).

This information was also backed up by The Daily Mail, who claimed on Thursday that the 35-year-old also wanted assurances regarding the level of control he would have over Tottenham’s recruitment.

The publication explained that Nagelsmann remained Spurs’ top target and that the Lilywhites are confident that they are not likely to face any competition for his signature from rival clubs.

However, this has all come crashing down with the latest reports from Gold and Kilpatrick.

Letting Pochettino go to Chelsea and not even trying to get Nagelsmann.

It’s as if the Tottenham hierarchy are attempting to completely sever their relationship with the fans on purpose.

Utter senseless leadership from the very top.
