Alasdair Gold reveals 12 players he thinks missed Tottenham training today

Alasdair Gold has revealed that none of the ten outfield players who featured in Tottenham’s 3-2 win over Newcastle have been involved in training at Hotspur Way today, as far as his eyes could tell.

Nuno Espirito Santo stuck with the same starting eleven that beat Aston Villa ahead of the international break for the side’s clash against the Magpies.

The Portuguese coach did not make a single substitution through the ninety minutes, with the Lilywhites emerging 3-2 winners from St James’ Park.

Tottenham will now have to turn their attention to the Europa Conference League as they travel to Holland to take on take on Vitesse tomorrow.

However, Gold has now revealed that none of the ten outfield players who featured on Sunday were involved in training ahead of the clash against the Eredivisie side.

The journalist suggested that it could be a sign that all ten players might stay back in London to prepare for Tottenham’s clash against West Ham United on Sunday.

In a later article for Football London, he added that Matt Doherty and Ryan Sessegnon both also missed training through injury.

It could be a slight risk to leave all ten players back in London as that would leave Nuno without many options to call on from the bench if we go behind on Thursday.

However, one would still expect us to have enough quality to overcome Vitesse, who are in sixth place in the Eredivisie table.
