Alasdair Gold reveals multiple La Liga clubs have shown interest in Spurs star

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that multiple La Liga clubs have shown interest in signing Tanguy Ndombele but insisted the midfielder is now looking increasingly likely to stay at Tottenham.

Ndombele has not made the matchday squad for any of Tottenham’s first three Premier League games or either leg of their Europa Conference League playoff against Pacos De Ferriera.

The midfielder has reportedly informed Nuno Espirito Santo of his desire to leave Tottenham, with Fabio Paratici even alleged to have tried in vain to swap the 24-year-old with Juventus’ Weston McKennie.

Gold has now revealed that Spurs have had interest coming in through Ndombele’s agent from a couple of Spanish clubs.

However, he adds that the approaches did not satisfy either the former Lyon man or Tottenham.

The journalist also stated that Spurs are open to listening to offers for both Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier, with the club hoping to move on one or both players on before the window slams shut.

It was always going to be extremely difficult to find a buyer for Ndombele in the current market given the wages that the midifelder is on.

However, the fact that Spurs seem to be pushing ahead with a move for Emerson Royal despite not being able to move Aurier on, is perhaps proof that Paratici views the opportunity to snap up the Brazilian as too good to miss out on.
